Two weeks ago, the deployEMDS Consortium and Advisory Board members came together for an inspiring and productive General Assembly in beautiful Stockholm, hosted by project partners RISE and organized by acatech.
Following a warm and dynamic welcome on the first morning, the afternoon was packed with engaging activities. It began with an insightful panel discussion, “Driving the Future of Mobility Data Sharing: The Role of the EMDS,” featuring the project’s Project Officer, Kristóf Almásy (European Commission), and Tobias Johansson (City of Stockholm), moderated by project coordinator Lucie Kirstein.
Advisory Board members then gathered to discuss the project’s vision and strategy, while representatives from the use cases presented their plans and collaborated with technical partners to develop a unified roadmap, fostering connectivity and resource-sharing.
The second day focused on a strategic alignment workshop led by Christopher Newman, where various statements and questions were explored in small groups, resulting in a series of shared conclusions. Later, Josep Laborda and Luke Bates from FACTUAL conducted their second live session of the project’s training series, “Learn with the Common European Mobility Data Spaces.”
General Assembly participants had the chance to attend a site visit to Stockholms stad (City of Stockholm)’s Zero Emission Zone, in which air/noise quality measurement stations and ANPR stations that have been funded by the deployEMDS project within the Stockholm use case, have already been installed.
The two-day event concluded with two additional days dedicated to Policy Labs, where partners tackled regulatory and governance challenges in mobility data-sharing.
Participants had also the chance to exchange with Kristóf Almásy (DG CONNECT) and Dimitrios Gkatzoflias (DG MOVE) from the European Commission, experts who gave their european perspective on the EMDS and other topics from the General Assembly.
